CASE STUDY: $35M Tornado Claim: Metal Fabrication Facility in Tennessee
BACKGROUND
A 500,000 sq. ft. Metal Fabrication Facility in Tennessee endured a massive tornado with 120 mph winds, damaging 20 buildings in its corporate headquarters.
Property damage included roof coverings, structural issues to the block walls, and water intrusion. Extensive knowledge of code requirements to stabilize the structures was needed immediately to mitigate further damage.
The commercial property owner hired PCG to evaluate, document, and produce an estimate of the damages.
SOLUTION
PCG met with the insurer, adjuster, engineers and representatives onsite to discuss the loss on multiple occasions. After over 1,000 hours, PCG produced an accurate estimate totaling over $35 million in damages. The claim was settled with no further issue from either party.
